Where I worked as Technical Architect on one of MENA's largest online travel platforms.
Flyin is where I worked as Technical Architect between 2014 and 2018. I do not own Flyin and I did not found it - but it is one of the most formative chapters of my career and worth telling honestly.
Flyin is one of the Middle East's largest online travel platforms. I was the Technical Architect for the consumer-facing surfaces - the web platform, the iOS and Android apps, and the search and location-suggestion services that ran the booking experience. I did not own the company; I owned the architecture inside my mandate.
The traffic, the search load, and the conversion sensitivity were all unforgiving at OTA scale. There was no learning that on the side. A lot of the engineering reflexes I rely on today - for caching, search, mobile architecture, and consumer funnels - were forged here, working alongside a much larger team.
I do not work at Flyin anymore, but the lessons travel with me into everything I have built since.
