AnySlate started as the writing tool I wanted for myself. A modern Markdown editor that runs natively on every platform, in the cloud, and is one of the first products that AI agents can talk to as a native citizen.
I write a lot. Documentation, design notes, blog drafts, founder memos. I never found a Markdown editor that felt fast on the desktop, synced cleanly to the cloud, and had real-time collaboration without falling apart. So I built it.
The most interesting decision was making AnySlate MCP-native from day one. The public MCP service at mcp.anyslate.io lets Claude, Cursor, and any agent read from and write to your AnySlate workspace directly. No copy-pasting, no glue scripts. The agent just acts on your notes.
There is a free tier for personal use, a hobby plan for power users, and a professional plan with collaboration and AI built in. Real-time editing, version history, custom CSS, PDF export, and publish-to-web all live behind the same login.
